WEB 2.0 LEARNING OPPORTUNITY: MY EXPERIENCE

Being a young graduate from the University of Mauritius, I am very much thankful to the organising committee for having selected me to get this training.  Well, when I received the confirmation, I was still wondering.....What are these Web 2.0 tools????.......How will I use them???........And the magic of Web 2.0 tools started on 23th July 2012.  Day 1 was really interesting where firstly we had to talk to the person sitting next to us and introduce that person.  This activity created a friendly atmosphere in the class.  We were then introduced to the concept of meta cards and the democracy wall and this was a really interesting activity where all the participants express what they feel.  

We were then introduced to the different concepts of the Web 2.0 tools and the training started with the help of the wonderful trainers, Mr.  Boodhoo, Mr.  Sembhoo and Miss Nawsheen.  It was just...WOW....to see how looking for information on google was so easy and time-saving.  And the famous RSS Feed is such an easy way to get updates.  I could just smile after having learned these tools and I was realising how life can be much easy with the Web 2.0 tools.  

Then came Day 2...and in my mind...it was another day full of discoveries and indeed I discovered Google Doc and Wiki.  Then, many ideas clicked in my mind, thinking about where I can use these tools.  Day 3 was much more interesting where I realised how it was easy to make a blog and I was proud of myself when my first blog was completed.  Then came Twitter, the famous Tweets that will keep me updated on all news in Agriculture from now on.  Finally, I discovered Google Map and the wonders that can be done........2 more days left.....and I am very much keen to know what I will DISCOVER......Big Thanks to CTA
